Vasco bay fisher people joins Bharat Mukti Morcha

"We are abandoned by every one. We have sent letters to local MLA, Chairman of MPT, yet on 15th of April 2015 but no one has replied to us. We have been abandoned completely. So now we are joining Bharat Mukti Morcha." explained Custodio Fernandes, President of Old Cross Fishing Co-operative Society at Kharevada, Vasco in a mini-hall packed with over 100 representatives of fisher people on May 07, 2015. Earlier Bharat Mukti Morcha's letter to the Chairman of Murmagao Port Trust (MPT) and another one to Commissioner & Secretary of MPT was read out publicly and content explained to the gathering.

Bharat Mukti Morcha team led by its Goa State President Maggie Silveira offered support and solidarity to the agitating fisher people. Bharat Mukti Morcha conveners from Cacra (Sanjay Pereira), Bambolim (Rohidas Andrade), Curca (Anthony Cardozo) and Vasco (Mohammed Saleem) were personally present to offer support and welcomed the the fishing community of Kharewada into Bharat Mukti Morcha that is leading agitation for liberation in India. MPT has plans to demolish every house of coastal dwellers in Vasco for the expansion of MPT.

Custodio D'souza is appointed the Convener of Bharat Mukti Morcha for Murmagao Taluka in order to expand the movement further.
